AnglerIQ Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

AnglerIQ is meant to be usable by everyone who fishes, including anglers with disabilities. We are working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at Level AA, which is the standard most commonly applied to public facing digital services in the United States.

Where we are

We are being straight with you. AnglerIQ is a new product and accessibility was not a formal requirement during the initial build. We are treating conformance as an active work item rather than a finished achievement. Some parts of the app conform today and some do not yet.

Interactive maps are the hardest part. Presenting spatial information non visually is genuinely difficult, and it is where we expect to spend the most effort. Where a map is the primary way to reach information, we are working toward providing an equivalent list or text based path to the same information.

What we are doing

• Reviewing screens against WCAG 2.1 Level AA and fixing what fails.
• Supporting the accessibility features built into iOS, including VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, and increased contrast.
• Making sure color is never the only way we communicate something.
• Building text alternatives for map based information where we can.
• Treating accessibility as a requirement for new features rather than something added later.

Tell us when something does not work

If you hit a barrier in AnglerIQ, please tell us. Specific reports are far more useful than general ones, so if you can, include the screen you were on, what you were trying to do, what happened, and the assistive technology and device you were using.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days and to tell you what we plan to do about it. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will try to offer another way to get what you needed.

If a part of AnglerIQ is not accessible to you and you need the information it holds, write to us and we will work with you to provide it another way.
